CBNNews.com - Secretary of state Hillary Clinton spent a second day on Capitol Hill discussing foreign affairs and the exchange she had over abortion with a Republican congressman is getting a lot of attention in pro-life circles.

Rep. Chris Smith, R-NJ, began by calling Clinton out on her reception of the Margaret Sanger Award from Planned Parenthood in March.

"As I think you know, in 2008 alone Planned Parenthood killed more than 305,000 children by abortion in the United States alone and millions more world wide," he said.

Some may consider this old news but it is till very relevant even today. We must stand up and take back our Government Run A Muck. If one high school student is man enough to stand up for what he believes why can we as a nation stand up in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and bring this nation back to God? It is past time that we open our Bibles and get down on our knees before our Lord and ask Him for forgiveness and His power working through us to bring her back to Him.

CBNNews.com - A Christian student was successful in his appeal on Friday, when he was granted the opportunity to seek damages for a violation of his free speech rights at a Kentucky high school.

After being required to participate in homosexual "diversity training," Timothy Allen Morrison was prohibited by public school policy from sharing his Christian beliefs about homosexuality.

The high school student filed a lawsuit in 2005 against the Board of Education of Boyd County, contending that he was threatened with punishment during mandatory anti-harassment training if he voiced religious beliefs opposing homosexuality.

Students were forced to take anti-discrimination education, which was set in motion by Boyd County School District officials, said Joel Oster, Senior Legal Counsel of Alliance Defense Fund, a Christian legal alliance based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Two brothers have been released after spending more than two months in jail, and their advocates worry that even police won't be able to protect them after they were accused of blasphemy, a charge local Muslims believe is sufficient for the death penalty, according to an international Christian ministry.

International Christian Concern says the brothers only recently were released from police custody in Pakistan, and there are high levels of concern for their future.

"These two brothers will face intense social pressure from Muslims who see even the accusation of blasphemy as reason enough for execution," said Jeremy Sewall, ICC's advocacy director.

"Until Pakistan can address this societal pressure, even the best policing in the world will not be able to protect Pakistani Christians," he said.

ICC said the brothers were released after two and a half months in jail. The release followed work by the Center for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement, a Christian legal group that works to negotiate "settlements" between Muslim accusers and Christians in that part of the world.

U.N. to make ban on criticizing Islam mandatory?

Muslim-dominated nations at the United Nations are once again pushing a religious "anti-defamation" plan that would bar worldwide all criticism of their founder Muhammad and his teaching.

According to a report by CNN's Lou Dobbs posted on YouTube (link below or in the original story), the proposal that has been repeatedly brought in recent years by the Organization of Islamic Conference states is expected to resurface as early as this spring.

This time, however, the resolution wouldn't allow nations to opt out.

"The United Nations has adopted what it calls a Resolution to Combat Defamation of Religion," Dobbs said in the report. "The U.N. now wants to make that anti-blasphemy resolution binding on member nations, including, of course, our own. That would make it a crime in the United States ... to criticize religion, in particular, Islam."

Constitutional lawyer Floyd Abrams said in the report, "What they would do would be to make it illegal to put out a movie or write a book or a poem that somebody could say was defamatory of Islam."

I have not as of yet confirmed the dates on this but we do need to get serious on this matter. This is a serious Bill and we need to make sure it does not go through. We must pray strongly for this Bill to die a quick death and we need to contact our Representatives and Senators immediately and tell them to put a STOP to this NOW. It is against everything we, as Christians, believe and what God's Word says about the sanctity of life.

For those of you who do not know, the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) [also known as freedom to kill act] is set to be signed if Congress passes it on January 21-22 of 2009. The FOCA is the next sad chapter in the book of abortion. If made a law, virtually all limitations on abortion will be lifted, which will result in the following:

> 1) all hospitals, including Catholic hospitals would be required to perform abortions upon request. If this were to happen, some U.S. Bishops have indicated they would consider closing down Catholic hospitals rather than perform abortions - more than 30% of all hospitals in the United States are Catholic.

> 2) Partial birth abortions would be legal and have no limitations.

> 3) All U.S. tax payers would be funding abortions.

> 4) Parental notification will no longer be required.

> 5) the number of abortions could increase by as much as 100,000 annually.

Perhaps most importantly the government would then have control in the issue of abortion. This could result in a future amendment that would force women by law to have abortions in certain situations (down syndrome babies, etc) and could even regulate how many children a woman is allowed to have.
Needless to say this information is disturbing, but sadly true. As Catholics, as Christians, as anyone who is against the killing of innocent children, we must stand as one. We must stop this horrific act before it becomes a law.

The South Florida preacher who gained fame after declaring himself to be Jesus Christ has fared poorly in divorce court.

The Christmas season was not kind to the self-proclaimed Antichrist.

Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda, who gained international notoriety by declaring himself first to be Jesus Christ, then the Antichrist, roundly lost his divorce court bid to protect his church from financial claims by his most recent ex-wife.

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Roberto Pineiro essentially ruled that de Jesus Growing in Grace church was his personal business, rather than a religious nonprofit organization, and awarded Josefina de Jesus Torres the more than $2.2 million she sought in the divorce -- the amount her lawyer deemed was half the assets of her ex-husband and his church.

I think the judge did what was right and awarded Josefina what she was entitled to under the law, said Torres lawyer, Norman Segall. ``The church has millions of dollars . . . and Im sure if [de Jesus] issues an edict from up above that he needs money, its available to resolve the situation.

Another reason we as a country are falling on our face. If we accept those living in SIN as preachers speaking from our church pulpits and leading our church membership we are in real trouble. God states without a stutter or slur what is SIN and we as a nation look the other way. God says those who are preachers, deacons, elders, or in any leadership position of the Church are to be above reproach.

Qualifications of bishops, deacons, and their wives
1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
